the avery tower

Located in the Transbay District of San Francisco, the Avery has rental apartments in the bottom half of the tower while the upper half contains condominiums. The lower half of the tower is informed by the pedestrian corridor that carves through the podium and continues up the tower. The top half of the tower gradually steps in towards a trapezoidal shape that promotes Bay views.

Sumit leveraged the drawing effort and unit layouts studies to validate the towers massing investigations. He also studied and laid out the tower core, which carried forward through to construction.
