18-Unit Multifamily Residential


Studio Hillier designed, developed, entitled and built an 18-unit visiting faculty housing residential project for Princeton University. The building attempts to balance respecting its context while trying to also stand apart. The material palette reflects the residential character located here, along this edge of the campus. Meanwhile, the building’s scale helps the campus transition down from its large institutional scale to the smaller residential scale of the town.

Sumit led the project and its design through the SD, Entitlements, DD and CD phases, working directly with Princeton University and the firm’s Principal, Bob Hillier.
